Shabaz Khaliq was approved as the head coach for the boys basketball team on May 9th at the school board meeting. He has been the head coach for Fort Wayne North, with a record of 145-50 over the last nine seasons and he has an overall record of 175-64 as a head coach. His only non-winning season came in 2011, when the Legends went 10-10. Khaliq also coached Fort Wayne Elmhurst, leading them to a Regional championship in 2010. He replaces Rick Wedlow, who resigned after three seasons.
