RAM Art Exhibit: “You Miss 90% of the Shots You Don’t Take”

On February 12, the Richmond Art Museum opened an exhibit the “Amos Lemon Burkhart: You Miss 90% of the Shots You Don’t Take”, that focuses on mental and emotional health and substance abuse. This show will be open until April 2, 2022.

It will be a two-gallery interactive exhibit in the Paul and Pat Lingle Gallery and the Patricia Quigg Lakoff Gallery. One of the exhibits will have artwork that includes painting, drawing, prints, and zoetropes. The other exhibit will have an interactive piece with activities and features on answering questions or dispelling perceptions about mental health, creativity, and substance.

Beginning this week, all RHS students will have the opportunity to visit the exhibit with their English classes. RAM is a regional art museum with a nationally recognized permanent collection that is free to visit and highly accessible to RHS students.

Morrisson-Reeves Library is also showcasing pieces of Burkhart’s work and books on the topic of mental health and coping.
