Students of the week – 4/29/19

The Register online has started a new series of “Students of the Week,” where teachers nominate students who deserve recognition for doing an excellent job. These are the following students who have been chosen for the week of  4/29/19 through 5/5/19. We will update the series every Monday.

9th Desteny Casanova

“She is a great student who works hard in class every day,” math teacher Hunter Lambright said. “She is also an extraordinary artist and is willing to share her gifts.”

11th Alexis Baumer

“She is very kind and helpful to her classmates, has a great sense of humor, and gets all of her work done to the best of her ability,” English teacher Tia McCargish. “She also is very willing to take responsibility rather than making excuses for her actions.”

11th Kyleanne Wood

“She is a hiker extraordinaire from AP Life Sciences camping trip,” science teacher Robert Bailey said. “Passed many hours on the trail, always in the lead group, asking questions and listening to mini-lectures along the way.”

12th Jameson Lakes

“I have had the pleasure of being Jaymeson’s counselor over the past 4 years,” counselor Sally Porter said. “I have always been impressed that with everything he has to do he keeps over a 3.75 GPA and has a great attitude.”
