Students of the week – 4/8/19

The Register online has started a new series of “Students of the Week,” where teachers nominate students who deserve recognition for doing an excellent job. The following students who have been chosen for the week of  4/8/19 through 4/14/19. We will update the series every Monday.

9th Ron Lear

“He has consistently improved his math grade since I joined the faculty in October,” math teacher Frank Brattain said. “He readily contributes to class discussions and is not shy about asking for help, I am super proud of this young man.”

9th Jakaia Lotz

“She is always going above and beyond with her work/projects in my Music History class,”  band teacher Samantha Hach said. “It is just very refreshing to see a student working so hard academically on top of her sports/activities!”

11th Brianna Fisher

“She was named one of the 11 finalists for the Phantascope Film Festival at the Richmond Art Museum,” Radio/TV teacher James Russell said. “Only 11 students out of 268 entries from the United States and Canada were chosen to have their films screened at the festival and Brianna’s film, “Growing Up” is one of them.”

12th Gracie Fox

“She is the first RACC student to complete her Indiana State Cosmetology License this year,” Assistant Principal Rusty Hensley said. “Gracie has worked extremely hard completing her mandatory 1,500 clinical hours in the last two years and preparing for the state certification exam.”
