Students of the Week – 3/18/19

The Register online has started a new series of “Students of the Week,” where teachers nominate students from every grade who deserve recognition for doing an excellent job. These are the following students who have been chosen for the week of  3/18/19 through 3/24/19. We will update the series every Monday.

9th Oscar Hernandez

He has volunteered to help two students who are learning English during ICP, which allowed them to be more successful,” science teacher Sarah Hawley said. “He also is often the first student in my room for that class period and makes sure our crate of student notebooks is ready for the rest of the class.”

10th Ben Quinn

He is the student life editor of the yearbook,” journalism teacher Jeff Gabbard said. “He has done an outstanding job putting together the events and people of this year in a new and exciting way.”

11th Taysha Scheve

She has been a dependable and enthusiastic HOSA leader,” science teacher Heidi Hisrich said. “She participated in our Remote Area Medical service trip over Fall Break and has developed and maintained an Instagram feed for our team.”

12th Suniah Parsons

She won 3rd Place in Corporate Video for her promotional video for the Richmond Area Career Center at this year’s Indiana Association of School Broadcasters Conference on Monday,” Radio/TV teacher James Russell said.
